Parking Enforcement FAQs
 
  1. Where should I park?
     
    If you are attending Bridgewater State College, you are to park in college parking lots for classes and all college business. Parking Permits are available at the college.

  2. I parked on a town street with my hazard lights on, why did I get a ticket?
     
    This is not allowed on town streets. All streets in and around college are town streets and parking regulations are strictly enforced by the Bridgewater Police Department.

  3. What are some of the reasons that can cause my vehicle to be towed?

    • Handicap Parking without a R.M.V. issued handicapped placard.

    • Fire Hydrant parking.

    • Fire Lane parking.

    • Blocking driveways or access to establishments.

  4. What are some of the reasons that a parking ticket can be issued?

    • Not abiding by the posted regulations.

    • Parking on either side of School Street by the Fire Department.

    • Illegal use of a handicap placard.

  5. Police Officers (and Parking Control Officer) Authorities includes:

    • Authority to tow vehicles

    • Authority to confiscate handicap placard if being used illegally.

    • Authority to issue parking tickets for violation of posted regulations.
