11th Citizens Police Academy

This 12-Week program begins Thursday, September 14, 2006 @ 6:30pm.  Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

This program is designed to familiarize residents with the daily operations of the Bridgewater Police Department.  Classes are held at the police station and are taught by Bridgewater Police Officers.  Topics include Domestic Violence, Use of Force, Patrol Procedures, Constitutional/Motor Vehicle Law, Sex Offender Registry, Narcotics Enforcement, Drunk Driving, the Satucket Regional Tactical Team, Canine Patrol, Courtroom Procedure and Criminal Investigation. 

Participants will also be permitted to ride-along with officers on patrol, tour the Old Colony Correctional Institution at Bridgewater, as well as view the criminal justice system at Brockton District Court.  


You must be 21 years of age to apply.  Applications must be completed prior to attendance. There is no cost to applicants, only a commitment to the program. Other qualification rules can be found on the application.
