Special Town Meeting
Commonwealth of Massachusetts

  PLYMOUTH, SS.

To any Constable or Justice of the Peace of the Town of Bridgewater, in the County of Plymouth,.....GREETINGS:

In the name of the Commonwealth you are hereby directed to notify and warn the Inhabitants of the Town of Bridgewater qualified to Vote in Election and Town Affairs, to meet at the:

Walter S. Little Auditorium
Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School
166 Mt. Prospect Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324
Tuesday, March 18, 2003
at 7:30 p.m.

Article 1.

To see if the Town will vote to approve the amount of the $26,700,000.00 debt authorized by votes of the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School Committee for the purpose of financing the costs of making extraordinary repairs, equipping and furnishing the Bridgewater Elementary School up to an amount of $1,700,000.00 and for the purpose of financing the costs of making extraordinary repairs, equipping and furnishing the M.G. Williams School up to an amount of $25,000,000.00; which votes provide that no sums shall be borrowed or expended unless and until the Town shall have voted to exempt the debt service on its apportioned share of any bonds or notes issued thereunder from the limitations of Proposition 2 ½, so called.

Article submitted by the Board of Selectmen.

Article 2.

To see if the Town will vote to adopt the following General By-Law:

Article XXXXII
Pyrotechnics:

Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of 527 CMR 2.09, the use of pyrotechnic devices, pyrotechnic materials, and pyrotechnic special effects, as defined in 527 CMR 2.03, in the interior of a structure or building is hereby prohibited.

Section 2. Compliance with this article shall be a condition of any license or permit issued by the Town of Bridgewater for on-premise consumption of alcoholic beverages and/or for entertainment.

Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall be punished by a fine of three hundred dollars ($300.00). Any violation shall be sufficient grounds for revocation of any license referenced in section 2.

or to take any other action relative thereto.

Article submitted by the Board of Selectmen.

 

And you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereof as directed by the By-Laws of the Town, at least fourteen (14) days before the time of holding the aforesaid Meeting.

HEREOF FAIL NOT, and make due return of this Warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk at the time and place of meeting aforesaid.
