2006 -
Daytime Road Construction in Central Square |
Beginning Wednesday, July 5, 2006 road construction in Central Square area will commence. The route will be from School Street to corner of 32 Central Square (Bridgewater Florist).
Construction will begin at 7:00 a.m. each morning and the project is
expected to last 3-5 days. For the duration of this project, parking will be
allowed in the municipal lot.

2006 - Evening Road Construction Projects |
Beginning shortly after the daytime project, two
evening road construction projects will commence.
Project 1:
School Street across Bedford Street to a
connection at
Church & South Streets (Congregational Church).
Project 2: Sovereign Bank
across Broad Street to a connection at
the Saving Bank.
These projects are expected to last 2 weeks
(+). For the duration of this project, parking will be allowed in the
municipal lot.

Bridgewater - Raynham High School Building Project |
|
The ground breaking ceremony was held on
Wednesday, September 29, 2004. Genevieve Pawlowski sold 87.3 acres of
farmland to the town as a site for the new high school. The land is located
between Swift Avenue and Center Street, across the street from the current
high school. The project will commence the first week in October.
The School Building Committee members include
Ken Mahtesian (Chairman), Lisa Sullivan(Admin. Assistant), David DeLutis,
Don DeLutis, George Guasconi, Jay Leach, Dr. Bob McIntyre, Laurie Miller,
David Morwick and Mike Tibert

East Campus Drive - closed during construction
East Campus Drive will be closed during
construction and Great Hill Drive is the alternate road. East Campus Drive
is the street between Campus Police and Miles & DiNardo Hall.
Construction will commence Tuesday, May 28,
2003 and should be completed in August.

Bridgewater Police Headquarters - 220 Pleasant Street

Description: |
The new police station will be approximately 15,000 square feet on two
floors, including a two-bay sallyport. Among the areas designated inside
the station will be a secure booking/detention facility, private
interview rooms, emergency command center, training classroom,
administrative offices, exercise area, and a communications center. This
state of the art communications/dispatch area is the E911 answering
point for the entire town, and will allow radio access to surrounding
police agencies, fire departments, and civil defense agencies, as well
as, provide links with state and national law enforcement data bases.
The station will be supported by
generator back-up and is capable of serving as a disaster staging area.
Expected completion date for the
project is late Spring - early Summer 2003.

As of July 8, 2003 the department has relocated to its new facility at
220 Pleasant Street. The Academy Building office is now closed for
business. Dates for a public tour of the facility will be
announced as soon as they are available. |
