  • Repaving, Line Painting, and Other Improvements to Central Square and Broad Street

Beginning July 18th, the Bridgewater Highway Department will be cold planing and repaving Central Square and Broad Street (from Central Square to the railroad tracks).  We will also install new thermo plastic crosswalks, stop lines, parking lines, arrows, etc.

This project is an extensive undertaking and is necessary to preserve and protect the structural integrity of the roadway.

Most of the work will be done at night between the hours of 11 pm and 7 am.  However, there will be disruptions to traffic and parking during the daytime hours.

Following completion of the project there will be a five-year moratorium on all roadway cuts for underground utility installations.  If you are considering an installation or upgrade of an underground utility, you should schedule it as soon as possible.

If you have any other questions or comments, call me at 508-697-0931.
