The Conservation Department coordinates the efforts of the Conservation Commission whose purpose is to administer the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L. Ch. 131, s. 40, regulation 310 CMR 10.00, and the Town of Bridgewater's Wetlands Protection Bylaw.

Complete Streets Construction Project - Main Street and Broad Street
The Town of Bridgewater has been awarded a grant from MADOT’s Complete Streets Funding Program which we will utilize to improve pedestrian, bike, and vehicular traffic as well as create a safer traffic environment in downtown. This project includes improvements to Broad Street and Main Street consisting of replacing and/or adding crosswalks, ADA compliant wheelchair ramps, signage, curb extensions, lighting, and bike lanes. Details on these updates are available to review through the Community and Economic Development office, and we encourage residents and commuters to contact Elijah Romulus, Assistant Town Planner, at eromulus@bridgewaterma.org or
NOTICE:
The 60-86 Broad Street public hearing - scheduled for March 3, 2021 before the Planning Board - has been continued by the applicant until March 17, 2021. All interested persons are encouraged to attend on March 17, 2021 for this project. A link to the Zoom meeting will be linked to the agenda on the Town website.
