WATER RESTRICTION

WATER RESTRICTION NOTICE REMINDER

The Town of Bridgewater Water Supply Department would like to remind residents that automatic sprinkler systems are strictly prohibited to be connected to the Town’s Water Supply. Sprinklers are a waste of the Towns’ precious water supply that is meant for human consumption and firefighting purposes. It also produces a water pressure reduction throughout the Town, puts a strain on the water wells and causes discolored water.

Water Department personnel will be periodically patrolling to enforce this water restriction.

Any person violating this by-law shall be liable to the Town in the amount of $50 for the first violation, and $100 for each subsequent violation.

If irrigating from a Well:

Please remember, all Wells need to be registered with the Board of Health. After installing a Well, submit your Well Completion Log to the Board of Health.

This restriction was passed at the May 1, 2000, Annual Town Meeting. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
