Some customers will be receiving a letter from Mass Installation Inc. regarding water meters that have stopped communicating due to Verizon 2G towers being removed. The letter requests you reach out to Mass Installation to schedule an appointment for replacement. Letter reads as follows:
Your current satellite water meter communicates on Verizon’s 2G network. Verizon recently removed their 2G towers. Although your meter is reading, it is no longer communicating to our office. To prevent estimated billing, we will need to replace your meter at no charge to you.
Please contact Mass Installation at 1-800-933-1360 to set up an appointment. The appointment should take no longer than 10 minutes.
MII water meter installers have uniforms including a MII shirt company issued ID badge and vehicles have MII decals for easy identification. MII personnel go through thorough state and federal background checks as well as drug screens and driving history examination. All Employees’ locations are monitored via GPS and recorded through MII’s electronic work order management system.
